Mangrove Trees
A mangrove is a tropical marine tree. Mangroves have special aerial roots and salt-filtering tap roots which enable them to thrive in brackish water. Brackish water is salty but not as salty as sea water.
Mangrove trees are commonly
planted and found in coastal areas. Mangroves can serve as walls of protection
for natural disaster in coastal area like tsunami. According to BBC
News, healthy mangrove forests had helped save lives in the Asia disaster
tsunami and people tended to respect these natural barriers even more,
especially after the tsunami.
There are several species of
mangrove tree found all over the world. Some prefer more salinity, while others
like to be very-close to a large fresh water source such as river. Some prefer
areas that are sheltered from waves. Some species have their roots covered with
sea water every day during high tide. Other species grow on dry land but are
still part of the ecosystem. The Times of India reported that rare species of
mangrove had been found and was also known as the looking-glass tree, probably
because the leaves are silver-coated.
Mangroves need to keep their
trunk and leave above the surface of the water. Yet they also need to be firmly
attached to the ground so they are not moved by waves. Any part of root that
appears above the water flows oxygen to the plant under water surface. as the
soil begin to build up, these roots procedure additional roots that become
embedded in the soil.

LAPTOP
Laptop, often called a notebook, is a portable personal computer with a clamshell form factor, suitable for mobile use. Although originally there was a distinction between laptops and notebooks, the former being bigger and heavier than the latter, as of 2014, there is often no longer any difference. Laptops are commonly used in a variety of settings, such as at work, in education, and for personal multimedia.
A laptop combines the components, inputs, outputs, and capabilities of a desktop computer, including the display screen, speakers, a keyboard, and pointing devices (such as a touchpad or trackpad) into a single unit. Most 2016-era laptops also have integrated webcams and built-in microphones. The device can be powered either from a rechargeable battery or by mains electricity from an AC adapter. Laptops are diverse devices and specialized kinds, such as rugged notebooks for use in construction or convertible computers, have been optimized for specific uses. The hardware specifications, such as the processor speed and memory capacity significantly vary between different types, makes, and models.
A hurricane is a big tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean. There are tropical storms in the Pacific and Indian Ocean, too, but here they’re called typhoons or cyclones. Hurricanes start over the ocean, and they happen in late summer when the water is warm.
When a hurricane is photographed by a satellite, it looks like a giant doughnut. The centre of hurricane is called ‘the eye’. There is no wind here. The strong winds are pulled round the eye by rotation of the earth.
A hurricane is formed over the ocean, but then it’s blown towards the islands of the Caribbean and the coasts of Central and North America. The winds can reach over 220 km/h, so hurricanes can be very dangerous. Buildings are damaged. Trees, bridges and power lines are blown down. Every year hundreds of people are killed by hurricanes.
Most of damage is done on islands and along the coast. A lot of damage is caused by the sea because huge waves are created by the strong winds. The waves are blown onto the land, and cities, villages and fields are flooded. However, hurricanes and typhoons also do some good things. Over half the rain in Japan is brought by typhoons.
Hurricanes are caused by heat. Scientists believe that if global warming increases, we will see many more hurricane each year.
